Blueberry Beauty Smoothie Bowl

Think about the amount of time and energy many of us devote to keeping our skin looking young and wrinkle-free. Could that time be better spent? Do we really need to spend $100 on the latest age-defying, wrinkle-reducing skin cream?

We sometimes forget that the food we eat, the ingredients that come from mother earth, has a tremendous impact on how we look from the outside. Nature is full of ingredients that can support our skin, hair and nails, and keep us looking young, naturally!

Today I’m showing you to make a magical smoothie bowl that is packed with beautifying ingredients. This smoothie bowl not only tastes incredible, but it will fill your body with nutrients, nourish your cells and make your skin glow.

Here’s a quick look at our beautifying ingredients:

Spinach. We all know that dark leafy greens are an integral part of a healthy diet, but do we know why? Spinach, and dark leafy greens in general, are packed with vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein and antioxidants. Spinach also contains high levels of lutein which helps keep your eyes healthy and give them that little sparkle!

Blueberries. Blueberries are one of the highest sources of antioxidants on the planet, which helps protect against premature aging. They’re also high in fiber which helps to keep you fuller for longer.

Mesquite Powder. You might recognize this from labels on dressing and marinades, but this superfood powder not only has a sweet, nutty flavor, but it’s also high in protein, fiber and B vitamins which helps support our metabolism and skin.

Ashwagandha Powder: While not directly helping your beauty routine, ashwagandha powder has been shown to help regulate hormones and stress levels. So for all those times where you’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed? You’re probably doing a lot frowning, rubbing your forehead and not eating properly, which all contribute to those fine lines and wrinkles we so desperately try to avoid.

Maqui Powder: These rich, dark purple berries have been found to contain more antioxidants than any discovered food on earth, which means they’re superstars at protecting our cells from oxidative stress, and supporting healthy aging and immune function. They’ve also been shown to support healthy cardiovascular function and regulate blood sugar levels.

And the natural beauty of smoothie bowls? They make an ultra filling, super hydrating meal that will keep you fueled all day long!
