Because mala beads and crystals transmute energy it is very important to cleanse them.
Malas should be cleansed often in the following ways:
- Leaving the malas out in the sunshine
- Leaving the mala out in moonlight
- Cleansing the mala through sound vibration: chanting, Tibetan Bowls and Tingshas
